Several thousand youth are hired annually in a variety of summer student positions across the Ontario Public Service (OPS), its related agencies and community groups.
Summer employment opportunities are full-time, temporary positions ranging from 7 – 16 weeks between May and Labour Day. The wage for these opportunities is either $10.25 or $11.10 per hour, depending on the job.
In 2011, Summer Employment Opportunities were available:

b) Outdoors in supporting positions related to: Tourism, Geology, Agriculture Sciences, Environmental Sciences and Parks.
c) Unique locations: laboratories and Travel Information Centres, for example.
In addition to student positions in Ontario Public Service ministries, there are also other positions available at related government sites
