What are the hours for your resource area?
Answer
The resource area is open from 8:30 am-4:00 pm, Monday thru Friday. There is a staff member working in the resource area at all times to assist you Do you write resumes?

Is this free? What do I have to pay?
Answer
The majority of services at the Employment Help Centre are free to clients. The only services where a cost is associated, are certain types of workshops such as First Aid / CPR. For more details we encourage you to contact us at 905-358-0021 Fee for Workshops?

Is there a fee for your workshops and how much do they cost?
Answer
The majority of workshops are free to clients of the Niagara Employment Help Centre. Some workshops such as CPR/First Aid and Lift Truck do have costs associated with them. Please contact us at 905-358-0021 to find out more details about these workshops. Carpentry course?
Question
Is there a carpentry college course I can attend in 2011 in this area? Is there Government funding I may qualify for?
Answer
At present Niagara College offers the following courses: Renovation Technician-Construction (Co-op - two year) and Construction Techniques (one year). More information on these courses can be found at www.niagaraclollege.ca/programs.
Both of these courses have been approved under Second Career in the past, however there are other eligibility and suitability criteria that need to be met in order for an individual to qualify for Second Career funding. Do you have job finding clubs or resources to find them?
Answer
We do not have a job finding club. Our job developer works diligently with employers to find available positions. Our counsellors also assist with finding jobs for our clients. If you would like an appointment please call 905-358-0021 or simply stop in and access the resource area where we have job postings available or you can utilize the computers to job search. What is a good statement to add to an email when sending your resume online?
Answer
By simply adding the position that you are applying for and where you saw the advertisement would be a great addition to the body of the e-mail. As an example you could use "Please find attached my resume for the position of (name the position) as advertised on (the Job Bank, your website, in the Niagara Falls Review, etc.) I look forward to a response from you at your earliest convenience.
